Modern Family: “Phil on Wire”

Juice cleanses, puppies, circus antics and Justin Kirk – overall a pretty solid half hour of television!

Jay, Gloria and Manny have a puppy named Stella, and Jay lets her get away with anything. She sleeps in the bed with them, showers with Jay and chews all of Gloria’s things. In an attempt to show Jay how it feels, she tried to get Stella to eat Jay’s shoe by acting it out herself. There’s something about Sofia Vergara chewing on a shoe that you just have to laugh at.

New Fall Show: Suburgatory

If you’re a fan of Clueless, Six Feet Under or Law & Order, then you’ll be excited to know Jeremy Sisto is back on TV! He stars as George, a single father who decides to move from Manhattan to the suburbs after finding condoms in his teenage daughter’s room.

As someone who’s from the suburbs, I must say I’ve never seen anything quite like this. The moms use words like “biznitch” and listen to gangster rap as they drive their kids to school, everyone waters their lawn at the exact same time, the neighbors are always in everyone else’s business and everyone has a lifetime supply of Sugarfree Red Bull (ok, that part I’m a little familiar with).

Glee: “I Am Unicorn”

Warning: Spoilers!

Ugh. I am SO over Quinn right now. Her pink hair and too-emo-to-care-about-anything attitude is really rubbing me the wrong way. This week Shelby – Rachel’s mom and the woman who adopted Quinn and Puck’s baby – returned to Lima. She’s heading up a show choir at the request of Sugar’s parents since she wasn’t accepted into Glee. Shelby told Quinn and Puck she wants them to be a part of Beth’s life, but Quinn needs to clean up her act first.

Castle Episode 2: “Heroes & Villains”

Good news for Caskett fans: They seem to be back to their usual selves! For now, at least.

If you watched the Castle Comic Con panel in July, you already knew episode two was going to be all about superheroes. The team was in search of a vigilante named Lone Vengeance who literally sliced man in half in an alley. The first Lone Vengeance they found was harmless. The second one was a reporter, Paul Whittaker, who admitted to the murder, but Castle and Beckett figured out quickly that he was trying to cover for someone. That someone was Officer Hastings, who had a pretty sweet samurai sword collection but also ended up not being the killer. It turns out Paul was covering for her because he’s in love with her.

Season Finale: Weeds

Warning: Major spoilers!

The season finale of Weeds raises one very serious question: Will the show be back for another season? Certainly they can’t finish the show with that finale! But we’ll get to that in a minute…

We left off with Dmitri jacking Heylia and Dean for their MILF weed, causing Silas to reach a boiling point. Assuming Nancy was behind it, he called Jill who then flew to New York to tell Nancy she wants custody of Stevie or else she’ll turn her in to the police. He seemed to immediately regret that decision. Meanwhile, Emma went to Shane’s cop friend, Detective Ouellette, and told him the truth about the Botwins.
